Birdphotography - Common redshank

I love waterbirds and birds that live near a lake or river, because it is way easier to take some pictures of them. You know where there is a lot of water probably some waterbirds will gather around. Of course these birds also prefer Sandbanks and shallow water where they can find enough food in the sand or inbetween small stones. Places like Lake Neusiedler or some rivers that have Sandshores are the perfect place for these birds to find small insects and other small animals they eat.

Enough food for the birds is one of the main reasons they gather around these places, so if you know where they can find enough food you probably also know the best place where you can take a shot of them. This year we planned to visis Hungary for some wildlife and birdphotography but because of the COVID19 desease we probably are only allowed to go on holiday in Austria. I am happy that i already know several places in Austria wehre i can take some nice pictures of animals and birds living here. Unfortunately for a lot of them i still have to drive several hours in the car.
