Hello my dear friends, I hope you are as well as I am still enjoying the Christmas holidays; I think I'm going to extend them until Chinese New Year 🤣😅😂.
Today I want to tell you about a Kdrama that I enjoyed recently but it left me with a bit of a tastebud so that's why I want to warn you not to waste your time with this.
LOVE LIKE A K-DRAMA (2023)
Hola mis queridos amigos, espero se encuentren tan bien como yo que todavía disfruto de las vacaciones de navidad; creo que voy a extenderlas hasta el año nuevo chino 🤣😅😂. Hoy les quiero hablar de un Kdrama que disfruté hace poco pero me dejó un sinsabor así que por eso quiero advertirlos para que no pierdan su tiempo con esto. ROMANCE A LO KDRAMA (2023).

What I liked
At first, I didn't understand if it was reality or fiction within fiction. After about 15 minutes I could understand that they were talking about a _reality_ where 4 actresses from Japan move to South Korea (I always confuse them) to do a casting to get a leading role in the country.
To do this, they have to live with 4 boys from the country and go through different tests in order to get the main role in different plots. They are evaluated by different juries, including actors, directors, film students and musicians who make suggestions and motivate them to continue. There is also a panel of commentators who do their job and add a touch of humour to the programme.
Lo que me gustó Al principio, no entendía si era la realidad o la ficción dentro de la ficción. Como a los 15 minutos pude entender que estaban hablando de un _reality_ donde 4 actrices de Japón se mudan a Corea del Sur (siempre las confundo) para realizar un casting y de allí quedarse con un papel protágonico en el país. Para realizar esto, deben convivir con 4 chicos del país e ir pasando por diferentes pruebas para poder obtener el papel principal en diferentes tramas que van planteando. Son evaluadas por diferentes jurados, entre actores, directores, estudiantes de cine, músicos que le hacen sugerencias y motivan para continuar adelante. También, hay un panel de comentaristas que van haciendo su trabajo y le ponen un toque de humor al programa.
I've seen other _realitys_ and I've commented on them here like the one about the house of celebrities and falling in love with the island and the difference is that the first ones, that is, the ones here are based on intrigues, games, strategies, gossip, fights, intrigues and sometimes the public is the one who decides even if it's not the best of the house that they share. No way! a hallway gossip becomes that; while here everyone shows their talent, there are no preferences and everyone is on equal terms which makes the plot more bearable and objective.
Another thing I liked was the overcoming of language barriers. One is always learning and I thought that Asians all spoke Chinese because Aha! what else can they speak? Well, no, everyone has their own language. Maybe in my day, I would have been with a dictionary at hand but to see how technology can help overcome those barriers and be able to help connect through the app, I thought it was great. I will no longer be afraid to travel anywhere in the world because they help me.
The next thing I loved was the wardrobe. I don't know if it's because here we are repetitive or stylish that we wear things that don't look good just to follow trends but they dress so beautiful and simple, I would love to have at least one oufit to show off 😊 plus, they don't need makeup or stylish hairstyles because everything looks great on them.
My favourite is NOZOMI because she's fresh, fun, smiles a lot and I love her haircut heh,heh,heh. Honoka and Ayano are very talented but Rio stands out much more than the three of them and she is one of the directors' favourites from the very beginning.
As for the boys, I don't like any of them, I think the girls steal the show and are the ones who take the lead in the auditions.
Yo he visto otros _realitys_ y los he comentado acá como el de la "La Casa de los Famosos" y "Enamorándonos: la isla" y la diferencia de estos es que los primeros, es decir, los de acá se basan en juegos, estrategias, chismes, peleas, intrigas y a veces el público es quien decide así no sea el mejor de la casa que comparten pero es el que gana por ·"tramoyero" ¡No que va! un chisme de pasillo se convierte eso; mientras que aquí todos demuestran es su talento, no hay preferencias y todos estan en igualdad de condiciones lo que hace la trama más llevadera y objetiva.
Otra cosa que me gustó fue la superación de las barreras del lenguaje. Uno siempre esta aprendiendo y yo creía que los asiáticos, todos hablaban chino porque ¡Ajá! ¿Qué más pueden hablar? Y pues no, cada uno tiene su lenguaje e idioma. Quizás en mi época, hubiese estado con diccionario a la mano pero ver como la tecnología puede ayudar a superar esas barreras y poder ayudar a conectarse por las app, me pareció genial. Ya no tendré miedo de viajar a cualquier parte del mundo porque ellas me ayudan ¡Genial!
Lo siguiente que me encantó fue el vestuario. Yo no sé si porque acá somos repetitivos o estilizados que usamos cosas que no nos quedan bien solo por seguir tendencias pero ellas se visten tan bonitas y sencillas, que me encantaría tener al menos algún oufit para poder lucir 😊 además, no necesitan maquillaje o peinados estilizados porque todo les queda muy bien.
Mi favorita es NOZOMI porque es fresca, divertida, sonríe mucho y amo su corte de cabello je,je,je. Honoka y Ayano son muy talentosas pero Río destaca mucho más sobre las tres y es una de las favoritas de los directores desde el primer momento. En cuanto a los chicos, no me gusta ninguno, creo que las chicas se roban el protagonismo y las que llevan la rienda de las audiciones.

Well I just didn't like anything else, sorry:
👉 The plot is kind of empty. It's not that it needed kisses, action, suspense, gossip or fights like the other reality shows, but they don't even see each other's eyes! I mean, there's no point in that because how do you connect with a person you don't even see or talk to?
👉 The premise is that _as they kiss a lot on stage, can they fall in love?_ My children, if they watch Latin American movies where they go out naked - leaving nothing to the imagination - and at night they return to their partners to a normal life, who will believe that with a kiss they can fall in love? look only at Sleeping Beauty 🤣. I understand that they are very respectful in what they show and maybe it's for a young audience, but for a kiss or working together for a week, the connection can't be born.
👉 And this is shown in this part; as they work every week with someone different, then they live "falling in love with everyone every week" 🙃 how they would say in my country "one all against all". As Asians are all the same and with strange names, it's hard for me to know or keep track of who they liked first, who they want to be with now or who they want to be with next. I don't find like much reality in it.
👉 The series is weak, I really didn't find anything in the 12 chapters beyond some famous kids who don't know what they want or do anything for fame.
Y... Eso es todo... ¿? Bueno es que no me gusto nada más, lo siento: 👉 La trama es como vacía. No es que necesitara besos, acción, suspensos, chismes o peleas como son los otros realitys, pero es que ¡Ni siquiera se ven a los ojos! o sea, eso no tiene razón de ser porque ¿Cómo conectas con una persona que ni ves o hablas con ella? 👉 La premisa es que _como se dan muchos besos en escena ¿Se podrán enamorar?_ Mis niños, si ven las películas latinoamericanas que salen desnudos -sin dejar nada a la imaginación- y en la noche vuelven con sus parejas a una vida normal, ¿Quién se creerá que con un beso se pueden enamorar? mira solo en La Bella Durmiente 🤣. Entiendo que ellos son muy respetuosos en lo que muestran y que quizás es para un público joven, pero por un beso o trabajar juntos una semana, no puede nacer la conexión.
👉Y esto se demuestra en esta parte; como trabajan cada semana con alguien diferente,entonces viven "enamorándose de todos cada semana" 🙃 cómo dírian en mi país "un todo contra todos". Ya que los asiáticos son todos iguales y con nombres raros, me cuesta saber o llevar el hilo quien le gustó primero, con quien quieren estar ahora o quien sigue después. No le encuentro como que mucha realidad en ello. 👉 La serie es floja, de verdad que no le encontré nada en los 12 capítulos más allá de unos niños famosos que no saben lo que quieren o por tener fama hacen lo que sea.

Do I recommend it?
Not one bit. When Netflix makes the suggestion do Next because honestly, although I could hardly believe that there was a bad Korean production, this one surpassed it in the lousy. I didn't miss anything, other than 12 wasted hours because as I am, I had to see it to the end.
In fact, if you want I can tell you the ending so you don't have to wonder what happens to them ha,ha,ha,ha.

¿La recomiendo? Ni un poquito. Cuando Netflix les haga la sugerencia hagan Next porque honestamente aunque me costaba creerlo que hubiese una producción coreana mala, esta la sobrepasó en lo pésimo. No me dejo nada, más allá de 12 horas perdidas porque como soy, tenía que verla hasta el final. De hecho, si quieren les puedo contar el final para que no tengan necesidad ni intriga de que es lo que pasa con ellos ja,ja,ja. Será hasta una próxima oportunidad.
