When I play this game I tend to just want to have fun, and sometimes attacking my allied aircraft is just as fun as going after the missions objectives. In this missions some Tornado fighters fly off from another base to meet me at the mission objective location. But over time I like to try to chase down the Tornado's while they are crossing the waters and take them out with missiles. Why? Because its hard to hit them due to their speed using afterburners. Luckily I have a HARM missile and its got the range I need.
