Today is the 13th birthday of my boyfriend's niece. And instead of making a cake or buying a cake, I decided to make a "Candy Cake" which is one of the trend now in social media.
So yesterday afternoon I have a duty. And I went out for a little time to go to a grocery store and bought some chocolates which I will be using in making a candy cake. As I went back to my work, I search something which I can be used as a stand on my candy cake. Then I found a container of a small mayonaise. And then I cut some used box and a paper plate to be the base, and where I can also used to wrote a name and a word happy birthday.
So now I have here the materials and steps on how I did this diy candy cake.
MATERIALS:
- chocolates or candies
- used container mayonaise
- pair of scissors
- used box and paper plates
- styro cup
- double sided tape or glue gun
- used ribbons
- used stirir (optional)
- used balloons (optional)
STEPS:
1.Cut the used box and paper plate into a circle shape and make sure it is bigger than the mayonaise container. Then put the mayonaise container into it and tape it.
2.Get the chocolate or candy that you want to be the first layer. Then at the back of it put a double sided tape and then paste it into the sides of the container. Repeat this until you complete the round sides.
3.Once were done in the first layer let's move on to the next layer. Tape the styro cup in top of the container. And do the same process on what you did on the first layer.
4.Design your candy tower. What I did is that I put the chocolate gold coin on the blank sides.And put some other designs around it.
5.Lastly I put the name of the birthday girl. And I added some design on it. And it's done.
So that's what I made. And earlier I brought it to the party and give it to the celebrant. And I asked her to blow and have a picture of it.
I'm glad that she like the simple present that I made for her. So to all of you hivers, you can make this too. I'm sure your kids will love it. It's so easy to make amd I'm pretty sure you can do this also.
