Hello hivians. How are you today? Do you already have everything ready for the holidays? For my part, yes. Now I have the children at home on vacation, stirring everything up and playing non-stop. Or what is the same is going a little crazy. So if you notice something strange in my articles, don't be scared.
Today, more than an article, it is an exposition of doubts. As the title says, why do some technologies succeed and others fall behind? The truth is that I don't have the answer to this question. I would like to know what you think about this and why it happens.
There are technologies that seemed to have a great future, such as holograms. It seemed like we were going to communicate and see a life-size holographic image but we are left with a video call in which your interlocutor fits in the palm of your hand. I don't see the logic.
3D printing was going to be the future but it seems that it has become just an expensive toy. But we were supposed to make things at home, or at least some of them. But we still buy disposable things.
Virtual reality glasses were going to introduce us to a virtual world as or more important than the physical one. But it seems that simply no one wants them because that fantastic virtual world does not seem to exist.
I could go on all day but I still don't know what makes one technology work and another not. Why do we choose what we choose? Do we really choose?
