Hello Hivians. We are already at the end of the week and I hope you are ready to give it your all this weekend. Well, at least I hope you enjoy it a lot with your loved ones.

Today I wanted to talk to you about the importance of awards and their dangers as well. Prizes are something that has always been used. In fact, nature works based on rewards, almost bribes. When a bee collects the nectar it also pollinates the flowers. When we eat a fruit we disperse its seeds. So we could summarize that the awards are positive in general.

But awards also have their negative part that can be divided into two aspects. On the one hand, if they are excessive, they can lead to complacency and will no longer serve as any stimulus to anyone. And on the other hand, they can be insufficient, causing the recipient to also lose the incentive to do what is necessary to receive them.

Therefore you have to know how to have an extreme balance. As a mother I try to reward my children when they do things well and punish them when they do things wrong. It is a good learning method but I also have to keep in mind that they not only learn what I want but they also learn the method. And the worst that can happen is that they know how to exploit the method to their advantage. Since then it will not only become useless but will also be harmful to them.
