Hello Hivians. How have you started the week? It's Monday and the holidays are over. I know it is difficult to go back to work but we have no other option, we have to work to live. At least the majority.
Today I wanted to talk to you about something that has fascinated me since I was a child and they started letting me look through a microscope at school. There is a miniature world outside and also inside us. The children are still too young to understand it but I already show them some things under the microscope so that they get interested. There are many things to experiment with and it is necessary to do so.
Today, taking advantage of AI, I asked it to create an image of amoebas because they are fascinating beings. I don't have a camera on the microscope so this is a good solution.
For those who don't know, here I leave you an explanation made by the AI about what amoebas are.
Amoebas are single-celled organisms belonging to the kingdom Protista. They are characterized by their lack of a fixed shape and their ability to change shape through the extension and retraction of pseudopodia, which are temporary extensions of the cell body used for locomotion and food capture.
These microorganisms are known for their ability to move and feed in an amoeboid manner, meaning they can change shape and flow into their environment. Amoebas are found in various aquatic environments, both fresh and salty, as well as in moist soils.
Some amoebas are pathogenic and can cause disease in humans and other animals. For example, Entamoeba histolytica is an amoeba that can cause amoebiasis, an intestinal infection in humans. However, most amoebas are harmless and play an important role in ecosystems as decomposers and consumers of bacteria and other microorganisms.
