Hello friends of the community hive-140084@hive-140084, Today I wanted to dedicate the post to Sappho. Who hasn't read something by this great poet. Even if it's at school, I'm sure you've all read something about it. Because she is a universal figure of antiquity.

He was born on the famous island of Lesvos around the 7th century BC and there is not much information about his personal life beyond the fact that he belonged to a high-ranking family in his society and with extensive resources that allowed him to have a first-class education in The time.

Sappho founded a school on the island where she taught lyrical poetry to other women of the same social class as her. Her poetry is intense, passionate, focused on women and her relationships. She talks about love and desire. But she also loved beauty, nature and her sensitivity to all the things that surrounded her.

Very little of Sappho's work is known about her since time and on many occasions lack of understanding of her have made her disappear. But even so, her work has been and continues to be a reference in current literature. And she has a great influence on current authors and on her works. Because, as she said at the beginning of the post, it is required reading in a large part of current basic education.
