When it comes to IOTA, one of the biggest hype factors behind their project is backing from Microsoft. The tangle tech sounds cool, but we still do not even know if they can build it. On the other hand Microsoft is a tangible corp with tons of street cred. This being said, the fact that they let the community go on thinking they were partners strikes me as fishy.
Microsoft said they have just been showcasing proof-of-concept's with many projects, and IOTA is one of them. If Microsoft stood behind them they would SURELY endorse the living crap out of IOTA.
I will not go too much into this as I am not the most informed person on IOTA. However, I doubt I will be investing in this project. I planned on taking a sizeable position if the price came down some but I cannot justify it.
