We visited the City of Ely today and walked around the outside of the cathedral. It was a grey, drizzly day so I have edited the photos to reflect the atmosphere.
Ely used to have an imposing Magistrate’s Court with tall Roman style columns. It was closed several years ago and moth balled (due to funding cuts). On the last day of its sitting, I had an appeal hearing at the Court and received a commemorative valedictory leaflet to mark its sad demise,
