It was a pretty long branch but the hole is only a few inches and should be repairable pretty easy. I just need to figure out the best means of repair that will last the cold and uv.

Got a handful of squash but then got some really nice Anaheim peppers from the greenhouse.

Getting back to the wood cover I had to find more wood to finish it and ended up taking apart an old bed frame I had made.

Those pieces were enough for me to finish the framing of the roof.

Then I screwed down 3 pieces of wood along the top to protect from the corners of the 2x4s.

Then came the fencing. The chain link that was around the pole garden had to come down but as it did I had to put up the replacement fence to keep the birds from massing into the garden.

All the 3 foot and 4 foot tall fence got removed, kinda cleaned, rolled, and then hauled to the yard.

The first roll went up and I nailed it down solid on the carport side. It worked really slick as I got down and pulled from the end it tightened the fence up really nicely so I could go along and hammer the staples in.

Then the next roll got set on the wood pile then I lifted it up onto the roof.

I rolled it out and found that I had a gap. Either it would not reach the end or there is the gap...

So I went and got the rest of the fence and laid it down the middle to cover the gap.

It took a bit to get the old pool cover laid out right but once it was I used screws with recessed washers to screw the front edge to the ends of the 2x4s.

The cover is not in the best shape on the end so I found a couple of old political signs made out of plastic that I fixed in place to sheet water away from the cardboard which will be directly below.

The last bits to do with the cover is on the far end by the tree where I have to deal with the fence and cover taughtening.

I had the hankering for pizza so I called the order in and @stryeyz picked it up on her way home from work.

All the weeds hanging from the fence will get pulled out over time. The plan is to move all the wood out, lift the pallets and use them as the back wall.

After eating and before it got dark I had to hook up the trailer for the grain run I have done this morning already.

The lights on the front get to stay and make it wonderfully bright at night. We used to not be able to see the wood under the tarps before so this is so much nicer.

Soaking was really nice on my sore body.

I have been to town for grain and will empty it after I get the boys to school. I have harvests to do, prep for the freeze Sunday night, work on the cover more, I might go up to fly in Chewelah, PDC is on, and might grill for dinner.
