The next link he followed lead him to a page of email between himself and director Crouch regarding C house. He had told him that the house was setup and the transfers were actively moving. Crouch replied that he expected it to run smoothly and with no problems or else Dru would be on the worst details possible. The only response he could give was a meek, “Yes sir.”
The emails continued with him asking for more security details for the house. The courtyard needed an elevated post for the guards and weaponry to defend with. The money was slim and he was having trouble getting people to keep working for him. Crouch was unsympathetic and only told him to figure it out, the budget was what it was and he had all the money he would get.
The last email in the chain was from him and it was a detailed report of the first quarter. He had written the number of transfers that had moved on as one hundred and fifty six people. Dru sat and stared at the screen and reread the email over and over, not believing that it was talking about him, that it was him talking in the email. The memories would not connect in his mind no matter how hard he tried.
