Not the way we wanted to wake up in the morning yesterday. The two of us were destroyed by something we ate and my body spent from 2 am on in full evacuation mode. Things finally subsided by mid morning and I was extremely happy for my nice warm robe as I was flipping between overheating, vomiting, and chills. I managed to get some ginger and chamomile tea into me but evacuated it soon after. After a while I was able to keep liquids down. stryeyz@stryeyz stayed home from work to rest and she was seemingly quite a bit better off than I was but still pretty destroyed.

The tub felt really nice with the warmth heating my core up and the rains that fell most of the day. I wasn't really able to do much but sit and soak since my body was so sore. My muscles all ached and my energy level was nonexistent. It was all I could do to get my post written yesterday.

In the afternoon after picking the boys up from school the freeze dryer cycle finished and I pulled the trays. They all felt like they were dried so I set them on the stove and got the thing defrosting. The time seemed about right since they were all prefrozen so I didn't think much else about them for the evening.

Well, it seems this morning that they WEREN'T done and when I touched them after getting up a little bit ago I found them to still be soft and slightly moist. So this morning I tossed the trays back into the machine and got it going again. It took an hour and a half for it to get back to sub zero temps so it should be to the dry phase soon.

We all went out to the tub in the late afternoon to soak and rewarm the core. Over the day all I was able to manage was water, tea, and a scoop of pea protein powder in a bit of apple juice that gave me a little bit of protein. stryeyz@stryeyz got plain rice made in the instapot but I was only able to get a few spoonfuls into me. I just couldn't eat, partly out of fear of booting it all up and my body just not wanting to intake food. The boys stayed home from wrestling practice as we didn't want them possibly puking on the mats.

We all were in bed early and I managed to sleep fitfully through the night. We all are doing much better this morning though and things are getting back to normal. I look forward to getting food in me this morning but I will start light. Batch 57.1 is running now and I hope it will finish today.
