A little later morning yesterday after we stayed up later the night before. After the morning soak I spent a bit finding a couple things for my mandolin. I ordered strap buttons so I can add one to the base of the neck, having the strap tied on the head makes it a bit difficult at times since it wants to get in the way of my hand moving around the frets. I also got a pack of Dunlop picks that have a texture grip in the center as I am finding the slick picks I have are a pain to keep where I want in my hand.

stryeyz@stryeyz and the boys went north to see our friends and I got the house to myself for a while. I got my hour of practice in on the mandolin and am starting to slowly get the hang of some different strum patterns. I have a handful of chords down solid, all two finger chords and I am trying to learn the three finger chords a little at a time.

After my practice I spent time working in the pantry some more. I got more room made and am soon going to be able to fully organize it. It took a while to shuffle everything out and to decide how I am going to progress.

We finally have some sun that burnt through the layer of fog that has blanketed the area for a week.

They stopped at the store to pickup our grocery order on the way home and in it got a package of turkey sausages. stryeyz@stryeyz asked me to get a fire going in the pit so when they got home we could heat the sausages over it. It was going just enough for us to get them nice and warmed. I kept the fire built up all afternoon for grilling for dinner.

The tub needed water added as it had gotten low so after about 45 minutes I had it full. The problem being is filling it with cold water brought the temp down to 92F and it felt a little chilly as we soaked. By the time I was getting out it had just gotten to temp.

I had to go hook up the trailer again for another run for grain this morning. I got the four barrels strapped down and the trucked parked for an easy out this morning.

We had bison burgers for dinner that I grilled. I left them plain and only poured a lager beer over them as they cooked.

One of the things with the bison is it doesn't hold together quite like the beef does so it is a little more tricky to get the patties to stay together.

After dinner the boys took forever to get to bed before we were outside for the night soak.

This morning I have been to town and back with 3 barrels of grain. I will have to go dump them in a bit, both boys have school, tonight is their first long wrestling practice, and I am going to keep working on the pantry organization.
