What are Witnesses?
Steem is a decentralized blockchain technology. To achieve true decentralization we need as many people running the official Steem code to allow us all to access Steemit, DTube, Utopian and all other platforms running on Steem. We, the users, decide with our 30 witness votes we have each whom we trust with this big responsibility. The more Steem Power votes in form of Steemians for witnesses the higher they rank up and earn more Steem rewards.
