Sometimes, God gets down...
I actually believe in God.
But the God I believe in is not exactly the God my parents told me to believe in. I had my share of atheism in my youth, and ironically, I started to believe again when I began to work in a Scientific Center.
Yeah, scientists believe in God too. Not all of them but, actually, not so few as people tend to believe.
The experience I had with the amazing scientific community I’ve had the honor to work with regarding this theme is quite unique. It can be expressed in this idea:
Considering everything that “is” as a whole; It actually makes more sense for “some kind” of God to exist, than the opposite.
Starting from that idea, this “some kind” of God differs greatly. Distant, wise, imperfect, “automatic”, loving, accidental…
My view? This. This kind of God illustrated here.
A God that creates out of curiosity. Out of fun. A God that is not so close, but not so distant either. Some kind of being with the capacity of amazement. In love with ideas, with concepts, with experiments. With the will of exploiting all his capabilities, because that’s what they are there for. A God of new ways and methods.
Yeah, a God between a scientist and an artist. A God that play games.
Then again, I could be wrong. It is all part of the game.
