Hi friends, wherever you are, how are you and I hope you are all healthy, so this afternoon I want to show you some pictures of caterpillars that I found a few days ago.
According to information from Wikipedia, caterpillars are the larval stage of members of the order Lepidoptera (the order is insects consisting of butterflies and moths). Caterpillars are also a type of voracious eating insects.
In my area this caterpillar is called by the name ulat bule Caucasian is the name for fur in the Acehnese language. Caterpillars have various variations and shapes, some have a little fur and some have a lot of hair like in my picture.
I found this caterpillar on a guava tree branch then I took it for me to make a photographic object, this caterpillar has a lot of hair and its fur looks very pointy, the color of its fur consists of black and white. The shape of the head of the caterpillar has a different color, namely orange, while the color of its body is black and white as well.
This caterpillar has a body shape that is about 3-4 cm long while the length of its fur has a size of about 1 cm. Here are some pictures of the caterpillar and I hope you enjoy it.
Based on my search using google lens the scientific name of the caterpillar is Fall webworm (Hyphantria cunea). In my area these caterpillars are very easy to find especially during the rainy season, besides being often in the guava tree, we can also find this caterpillar in other plants such as grass as long as the place it occupies is a plant that can be eaten by humans, many people in my area also consider this caterpillar as a pest for farmers because these caterpillars eat all kinds of plant leaves that can be eaten by humans.
