So as an addendum: you know I'm pro-iOS. But I do have an Android smartphone (Xiaomi Mi9) and while I have some issues with its attempts to phone home to Google, I will not replace it for the iPhone 12

If you want security and a bit of privacy... iOS. If you want the freedom to sideload apps — and expose yourself to malware — Android. There’s more crypto apps on Android than on iOS. Many of those sideloaded
