So as an addendum: you know I'm pro-iOS. But I do have an Android smartphone (Xiaomi Mi9) and while I have some issues with its attempts to phone home to Google, I will not replace it for the iPhone 12 (Mini). Would love to but my phone is solid, still super fast and Android isn't that bad. Besides, I don't want an iPhone with lightning connector, I've spent enough on replacing those all the time. I will wait until USB-C in iPhone 13.
Weird the Coins.ph app isn't built as an API. It should then be rather trivial to replace the services with local ones, altho it could also be that IRS integration may complicate those things. What with being fully legal (and maximally regulated), right.
Yeah, they have close those 20 million accounts here. I think in Thailand it was 2m after legal launch, but a majority of those are probably not active nor KYC'ed.
Sadly enough can't ask, most of my contacts there left or are counting down the days until shares vest after the acquisition by GoJek.
