The bangkas are outrigger fishing boats without sails used to navigate the islands in the Philippines. Every day basically, instead of hopping on the car to get around and explore, you hop on a bangka and the ocean is your highway. The tall mountain you see on the right side of the 2nd picture is Pinagbuyutan island. Possibly my favorite island ever! There is only one resident on the island (at least when I visited in 2013), otherwise monkeys will be your neighbors if you have the chance to camp on the island, which I highly recommend. A lot of tour companies offer a quick stop to this island during the day, but there is only one way to get permission to camp on it.
Full camping story on my blog, if you fancy reading and dreaming with me.

It is so interesting to read it 5 years later and to notice some things that were new or unimaginable to me back then, such as seeing the Milky Way for the first time, or the fact that there were no drones to take pictures from the sky...So many funny moments in the story, hope you enjoy it!
