Banteay Srei is a temple dedicated to Shiva in the Angkor area in Cambodia, built on red sandstone that can be carved like wood, resulting in the exquisite decorative wall carvings still visible today. The temple is located in a remote area, completely covered by jungle and was rediscovered in 1914. It is a very well-preserved monument.
