Among the obligations of the medieval knight is to keep his sword and his armor clean, take good care of his horse, since it is his best friend, kill the enemies of the kingdom, visit his beautiful maid from time to time to tell her his adventures, fight in armed duel with his spear and shield in the King's tournaments, assault castles and assist the helpless. But the most important thing for a true knight is to fight against the evil that is hidden in the depths of his heart.
The double bass begins playing some hypnotizing repetitive notes and then enters the battery reinforcing the trance state. The piano makes his appearance and Coltrane appears supporting his melody. Then he continues on his own courses. With his solo fly over the theme transforming it and twisting it. He continues with his speech backed by the rest of the group. With each chorus he reinforces his sermon. Now Coltrane continues the message of his partner in a more understandable way. Coltrane returns repeating his sentences and Tyner confirming them. And to close the circle, it is the double bass and the drums that put an end to the theme.
