Mr. Day and Mrs. Night. The sunrise and the sunset. The light and the dark. Goodness and badness. Everything happens in a perfect balance in which we all dance around life. The universe manifests itself in different ways, and they are all aspects of the unique reality.
The double bass begins by giving a preview of what is going to happen. The battery join him. Then, Coltrane bursts in with an unstoppable thrust. In the exposition of the theme he makes clear his intentions. With his irrepressible impulse he makes you think about your situation in life. His solo is animated and makes you mark the time with your feet, and your body starts moving to the beat. He repeats his message with incisive insistence. Now Tyner comes in saying: "See how right he is?.” With his calm speech, the message is the same, although sometimes he raises his voice more. Coltrane returns with his impetuous speech. Finally, re-expose the theme reminding you not to forget what you have learned. And the doble bass ends the song in the same way that it started.
