Getting good comments on your posts is very rewarding. At least you know people are reading what you wrote.
Here are two ways you can make sure your comments will be appreciated, even if you do not have the power to vote:
Ask a question about what the person blogged about. This can be anything that comes to mind when you read the post.
Add some information the person might not know about. This can be a personal anecdote or something you already know about the topic.
So why should you comment on the posts of others? Here are a few good reasons:
- comments let the author know their post was read and made a difference to someone else.
- sometimes your comment will get an upvote.
- you will connect with someone who may come and check out your blog too.
