I use esteem for a post each day and a spoiler for this review is that:
I have been using esteem for a few months now, but when I saw the call for this contest week ago, I decided to pay attention for 7 days and look at esteem with a fresh eye.
I use esteem on my windows laptop, s this is the version of esteem I am reviewing. There are many other versions for phones and apple, but I do mot have them.
Even though I love the esteem dapp, I do have some complaints. But first, the good stuff.
This is my favorite feature of esteem. I am moving fast with many tasks and use several dapps to post with. But almost every post starts in esteem.
I write post here because I can see the results as I type. All of the other editors I use have the finished post down below and flipping up and down to check my work for typos and formatting wastes a lot of time.
If I am using another dapp for the post, I usually write it in esteem and then copy it into the other dapp for publishing when I am done.
Esteem and its trail upvote my posts about 80% of the time I publish them. This upvote is usually 1%-6% of their power and is at least half of the rewards I will eventually receive. I love steem for the interation, but I am also looking to maximize my rewards. So esteem is a great place to post each day for this reason.
I am a typo queen! Esteem had a recent update to include spell checking and this is another big help to my speed in posting. Since I make so many typos, it is really helpful to have them pointed out for me.
I am so happy to be able to save my work and go back to it later. I have many posts on the go at all times, so this helps me when I can only do part of the task.
For example, I might find photos for a post and not have the text ready. Other times I might have the text and need to hunt the photos on my hard drive. Either way, esteem helps me keep working efficiently.
How did I ever exist with out this? The abilty to create a post and have it go out later is a real time saver.
I can create tables for data now! I was never able to do this before in any other editor. I have tried a failed a few times. Now esteem makes it easy.
Bold, Italics, headers, quotes and other markdown codes come with the click of the mouse on esteem. I sure miss this when I do not have it in other dapps.
Certain steem related words like "upvote" and "dapp" are marked as errors.
Since I am using a laptop with poor wifi, I have lost work a few times when screens refresh unexpectedly. I think this is more my problem then esteem's problem, but it is still an annoyance.
I cannot predict when this will happen. If it does, I import the photo to another dapp and then copy it to esteem. Problem solved, but with additional time spent.
Notice the scroll is independent for each window. I love this and consider it to be a benefit.
As you see I have only two weak drawbacks and plenty of great benefits with esteem. I anticipate many more happy times of posting ahead. I recommend this dapp to anyone and often do. It is listed in my main minnow tips post below.
Thank you @good-karma and team for such a wonderful dapp, and my friend
@iamjadeline for relentlessly nagging me until I would give it a try.
My post is for the blindtest contest initiated by @blind-spot. This is the first of a series, and I hope to review more dapps in the future.

Recent events have not been easy, and you can read about them here:
Situation Critical – My rent and wifi are not paid and now are both overdue
UPDATE: I am so happy and relieved to tell you that:
A bigger post describing current events will be posted soon, but I want to let anyone checking on me know that the first part of the situation is solved and that at least I will not be cut off from the world without a roof over my head.
And I can afford to go to Singapore for my required visa trip. Can you go to Singapore for three days and spend a total of $75 USD? Watch me!
I am so grateful to you all.
I am dedicated to STEEM and trying hard to carry on with your help. Here are some ways you can help and I would love to hear of any suggestion you may have for me.
I live in the 3rd world - yes, one STEEM will help me.
Here is what you can also do to help:

If you can "only" vote some posts - It is enough.
If you can "only" send 1 STEEM - It is enough.
If you can "only" offer advice for how I can do better - It is enough.
If you can "only" offer encouragement and good wishes - It is enough.
If you can do more and think my presence here has value, I hope and pray you will.
This is the power of STEEM.

It is almost Super Bowl Sunday. Statistics say that only 5% of people with health resolutions for the New Year will still be on track. Is your fitness equipment still out handy, and are you still on a "diet?"
I lost "Half My Size" eight years ago by using natural methods. I started on December 5th and did not give up. You can do it too!
