I used to ride the San Diego Trolley a lot when I lived in California, but I do not remember a “Day” for it. It was more of a normal way to get around for me and I liked it a lot.
San Diego, and all of California are not known for good public transportation, and this is true. But if you live near the trolley and are going someplace near it at the other end, it is a nice ride. It is not too expensive and faster than traffic in some cases. During rush hour you can watch yourself beating the freeways speeds in some places.
In the last year I was there, Trolley Cops became a big annoyance. They jump onto the car at the last minute and then scan everyone’s tickets to make sure they paid. The people that don’t pay already know this routine, stand near the doors, and jump off at the last minute as the cops get on. So the whole thing is just getting everyone ready for the police state to come, or the one that is already there.
I used a Canon ELPH160 point and shoot camera for the photos on this post.
My post is for the #freewrite daily challenge by @mariannewest. Freewrite is a great way to post on STEEM when you do not think you have the time, or talent, or anything to say. It’s a great way to start regular posting, and I know you can do this too! Here is Marianne’s freewrite prompt post for today. Give it a try and surprise yourself.
