The other day, I met my 2nd grade students that will be in my class in the fall. We did a lot of "Get to Know You" activities and we had a lot of fun! I have one boy - who is quite a stitch! He's definitely going to bring some serious humor into our classroom. I noticed right off the bat he is very intelligent and has a great vocabulary. After one of our activities, he came up to me and said, "I think Dr. Seuss' name is Arthur. People who write books are Arthur's, so his name must be Arthur Seuss. They're the smart ones - the almighty ones." I couldn't help but laugh - it was the cutest thing!
