What’s that? It’s the type of tan you get when you’ve been hit by an hammer. It makes you white as snow and... you kinda look like the guy in that picture. Technically the guy looks way better.
For a while now, I had been raging on and on about the absence of this phenomenon and how all my geography classes in secondary school have been rendered useless by the new unofficial weather system we seem to be having on earth these days.
This morning started like every other one especially with me needing to catch some extra shut eye right after morning devotion; it happens every day! When I eventually decided to go shower and begin my preparation for church, I was met with something unexpected. The water from the shower was unusually cold so I let it run for a few seconds hoping that it’ll get warmer; it didn’t.
Then it dawned on me, the harmattan is here! With a loud sigh, I subjected myself to the new reality, well only because I had to go to church 😔. Amazingly tho, there was no shiver after the shower so either I’m a big boy now or the harmattan isn’t really here. If only we could just look outside, see snow and know that winter is around.
My thoughts on the harmattan soon vanished till I realized my face and hands felt dry. Then the air around me felt dry and dusty. There was no much use for the fans and I probably need to get a lip balm.
Well, I think I get the point now Mr Harmattan! You’re finally here 🙄
