Last week the much anticipated trip was finally there. Five guys in a lodge with our own stretch of water to fish in. The salmon where jumping, the water had the right temperature, the waders leaking, the hunt was on. This is so much more than the fish itself, we fish to be where the salmon live, and then we have some of them for dinner. The female salmon was protected, so they where let back into the river to spawn. What I have to emphasize is that this crazy activity is so much more than catching fish, its the nature, the birds, the venison, the weather, the beer, the friends, the lack of sleep...
