Hello Hivians. I hope you're all having a wonderful time.
To begin my day, I decided to make this pen drawing of a squirrel eating a banana. hamsterpoweriii@hamsterpoweriii shared this idea with me some days ago which I really found exciting as I could also try out what others had in mind and also use the opportunity to improve myself in some specific areas of drawing. The main challenge i find with making drawings of small rodents and mammals is the aspect of detailing and fur texture. So I decided to use this drawing to practice and hopefully get better.

I used a black ball point pen and pelican paper for this drawing.
Here are the steps involved;
Firstly , I drew the outline of the squirrel holding the half eaten banana close to its mouth.

Next, I began shading and adding fur details to the skin of the squirrel.

I continued this till the squirrel looked appealing.

Finally, I shaded the banana until I got a satisfactory result.

A reference photograph from google also helped in achieving this result.
Thank you for reading and viewing my day. I hope you loved it. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
