Hello steamers, today I have a small unboxing to show you. I picked up some silver goodies from an online auction and it finally came in. I bought these coins from a cool YouTuber that sells some nice pieces from time to time. His channel deals with a variety of coins but mostly has pennies. The YouTube channel is called Coin Dragon.
I was watching one of his live streams last week and saw these two pieces and really wanted them. Both pieces are silver and one is a little different.
The first piece is a 1988 Andrew Jackson silver round.
This round was produced by Liberty lobby and guaranteed to weigh 240 grains of .999 silver. That equals a little over 1/2 ounce of silver.
Next coin is a little something different. It's a 1973 40% silver Ike dollar. This is the last of the large silver dollars intended for circulation.
This silver version of the Ike was minted in San Francisco and was limited to 1,883,140
coins. I really enjoy the reverse design because of its space theme.
Let me show you the main reason I bought this Ike dollar. Look close at how fat the letters are in "In God We Trust". It has a slight case doubling in the text. In this picture you can see "God" with the best separations. It's not a complete double die across the obverse, but has points of doubling
