Hello steemers, Today i want to share a cool commemorative i received as a gift. This Christmas a family member gave me this coin as a present. He knew i was into collecting coins and my love for american history. This commemorative was given to me as a reminder of the statues that the politicians took down in New Orleans last year. I think he bought it from the secondary market and probably paid way to much for the coin, but i still love it.
Here's my gift.
It's a 2001 Republic of Liberia commemorative issue Battle of Gettysburg $5.00 dollar coin. The front has Republic of Liberia, The love of liberty brought us here, and it's year 2001.
This coin weighs 14.6 grams and it's metal composition is copper nickel alloy. From my research the condition is a proof like uncirculated version, with a mintage of 50,000. The reverse feature General Robert E. Lee and and Major General George G. Meade and the battle of Gettysburg in 1863 and it's value of $5.00 dollars.
This is the coins secondary markets C.O.A. The American mint packaged the coins in capsules and included a C.O.A in a plastic case. The coin is guarantees quality and authenticity of the coin.
Hope you enjoyed my commemorative. Thanks for stopping by and viewing. A proud member of the #steemsilvergold community.
