How much Gas have you Got?
Driving to the office this morning, I sat behind the wheel enjoying the honking of impatient drivers and the cursing of some silly ones. Amidst all the noise, I somehow managed to shut out all the noise and tried to focus on getting to the office. My focus got broken when I noticed two drivers impatiently trying to get into line ahead of the other. The guy in the green vehicle finally got in. The other guy in the black vehicle honked loudly and I thought that was it.
When the traffic got free, the black vehicle raved up to the green vehicle and brushed his side mirror off and kept stepping on the gas without slowing down. Ahead was a young boy crossing the road to the other side. All he had was his back pack on his back and the black car kept raving knocked him down! It all happened so fast!!! The picture still sends shivers down my spine as I recall. I think only a miracle will save him . Other drivers who had observed the drama between the two drivers chased the hit and run vehicle. Well, I had to take the turn off the main street to my office.
What I learnt as I ponder on the sad event is that some things are just not worth it. Patience and forgiveness are golden in life. Some people get stuff by scrambling and fighting others for them, while some just patiently wait to have it come and gain much more. Wisdom is principal in everything and timing is key in life.
My advice: Know when to step on the gas and when to hit the brakes!
