It's been at least two years since we had a proper get together in the garden. Because we couldn't. Because lockdown regulations did not allow gatherings. And then there was curfew. We have cheated a couple of times - for survival - and on the sly. This time, because curfew is gone and people are allowed to invite others into their homes, we did.
We polished and spat.
The ancient sunflowers that had gathered drought dust had a shower and the garden, returning to green glory is a good place to be.
It was a bring and share and among our guests, a fellow bread baker. His a French baguette style and mine Italian.
There was conversation and laughter. And then it was done.
And it was good. We look forward to doing it again. Because we can.
Until next time, be well
