I stopped by here because this post piqued my interest and my mouth fell open when I read that your guest just helped himself to a plate of food! I have to say that the thing a guest did that riled me most was an Airbnb guest. We offer accommodation (room) only and make it clear. She asked about fridge space and I said no. When we were out, she went into the fridge... Anyway, that was not all, but it's a long story which I might share in time. It does, however, never cease to amaze me how people don't respect other people's private space and boundaries!
