The fireplace is not a chiminea which is Mexican, I understand. It's a raku ceramic fire pot that was made in Cape Town and which we installed after we moved here. I am so glad we're coming out of winter - not soon enough.

Flooding: that and fire (we've almost been there) are my worst nightmares. Glad you survived. I'm heading to the kitchen shortly to start work for the market on Saturday and do supper. Enjoy your walk! 😃
