Omelette - stuffed with mushrooms and onions - served with salad. It's been a while and a while since life has been other than busy. So, an easy supper ahead of a day in my other office - the kitchen - is good.

With potatoes for The Husband, as usual.

Muddled musings

I try to write something every day. Not just because it's my job, but because it's a discipline that's made my writing better. No, it's not inspiration. Seems that the speed of the hamster wheel life at the moment doesn't give me space to think. I only just breathe. I keep on saying it's a patch and then it just carries on. So, right now, I have no choice but to go with the flow. No, that's not right. I choose to go with the flow. I can see where some of the flow is going, but not what else might run in.

Ironically, I find my self thinking a bit nostalgically of the relative quiet that came with Covid restrictions. Then I perish the thought reminding myself pf the crud that came with it. I'd much rather be in the here and now, looking forward, than back in that bleak, black place where one couldn't breathe because there almost seemed no point. There was no reason to get out of bed other than to go through the motions.

That I did - go through the motions - I am glad. Now, hamster wheel bedamned, just ruminating on last night's supper and musing about that black bleak time, makes me grateful for that hamster wheel.

Post script: I am trying to participate in traciyork@traciyork's April #HiveBloPoMo. I emphasise trying because RL - and my day job - have been so busy over the last while that I've not known which way to turn. That shouldn't stop you - or anyone. Read about how to participate here.

This is Day 14

Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised appplications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
