That was yesterday as the first thunderstorm of the season passed over the village. Dramatic and the light was exquisite.
Princess Pearli came home, waited out the storm.
Then she went off, strumpeting. Again.
I keep on saying that last week was a whirlwind and Sunday was also busy.
I was glad to have leftovers last night, for two reasons: I am tired and one can have too much of a good thing. Much as I love cooking and the kitchen is my happy space, sometimes a break from the doing and especially the thinking (i.e. the what shall we have... how shall I do... what will work with...) is welcome.
I recreated Wednesday's smoked fishcakes with corn salsa and preceded that with my current favourite starter salad: cucumber, beetroot and tzatziki on a bed of rocket.
A good end to a hot, muggy Sunday and a good week.
Normal programming resumes today.
After yesterday's whine post, invited me to find out more about F.R.I.D.A.Y BOT who could stand in, if not replace,
. I am investigating and will report back in due course.
In the meantime, it's back to Monday.
Until next time, be well
