Hello, Hive Fam!
I hope that life is treating you well wherever you are in this part of the world.
Investing in the stock market is something that can bring good returns, and an IPO is a way through which many companies try to go public. IPO stands for Initial Public Offering, where people get the opportunity to invest in a company's stock.
I often invest in various IPO but generally I'm not lucky enough to get the allocation. However, there have been a few IPOs in the past that have given me good returns because, generally, whatever allotment I receive, I sell off in the market and book profit immediately.

A new IPO has been announced, and it is from Jio, which is the leading telecom company in India. It is the company operating in India with the biggest user base, and it also provides a bunch of telecom services to users. I will be investing in this IPO, and as of now, the date has not been shared for when this IPO will be live, but hopefully it is going to be live in this year 2026, and I'm anticipating that this is going to be one of the biggest IPO in the telecom industry because of the company's valuation and overall market cap for Jio Telecom.
There are some other IPOs also aligned, which are really good and can be big because these are the brands operating in different segments and having a good market cap, along with a good user base also. In the list that I have shared above, I am well aware of the top four companies but not sure what the 5th company is doing, so you can imagine that 80% of the brands that are applying for the IPO are known brands in the market, and that is why it could be one of the reasons why a lot of people in illness found the IPOs they are going to bring for the public.
I'm hopeful that the Jio IPO is going to be the biggest one, and if I get the allocation, then surely it is a good money-making opportunity, but I plan that if I get the allotment, then I won't be SH selling all the stocks; rather, I will try to follow my 5050 strategy, where 50% will be sold off, and the rest will be held for the long term. Because the company is going, you never know what value it can see, since I'm expecting appreciation in its stock in the next few years.
