There are good journalists out there, thoughtful people that offer nuance. Plus, they offer themselves to longform platforms and some write books. Most of the time you won't see them on the major networks. But a lot of the time you see them on print media, especially the independent platforms like substack.

And the one thing about context and giving people the benefit of the doubt, like you were saying, is that people have to qualify their conversation a lot. Subject matters are usually pretty complex, and so we have to do a lot of qualifying when articulating an idea. People aren't perfect, and when they are conveying an idea, they sometimes say things that aren't quite right, just because people aren’t perfect. And so we need to listen to them for a while, so they can give a complete picture of what they're really trying to say.

A lot of times I think people are hypocrites, especially on Twitter, social media, and any place where you can rant impulsive heaps of shit over the interwebs. Those same people, that say pretty dumb ass things about people they hate, wouldn’t what others labeling their rant as a complete personality profile of themselves.

People aren't perfect, cut them a little slack, listen to them longer than 30 seconds, put yourself in their shoes, most people aren't evil, don't impulse so much, take a little time to think things through. Just random advice that I have so people aren't so pissed off all the time.
