Giving Love
Am I not a merciful God?
I have looked past your indiscretion
poorly judged you the situation
smiled with a fleeting temptation.
had you considered my station,
you would've surely fashioned
a better way.
It is too late.
You have rolled the dice of fate
I hope we never had met.
I think I am on brink of sinking
I have been watching a wall without blinking
a memory in my metal heart is clinking
around. The medicine has been to go drinking.
I grab my wallet
and I walk out.
these thoughts
follow me about.
Around in circles
I run, what fun?
my dreams have
taken a strange turn.
I wanted you.
Now I want your world
I wish upon you the cold
you bestowed upon me.
I wonder how many pints that takes.
