I order sewing supplies from Wawak, a tailor supply place, periodically. It is more economical in the long run to buy spools of elastic, rolls of basting tape, and other basics in bulk. This time I replenished my supply of C cups (on sale) and jeans zippers. I also got a new thimble for all the hand sewing I do and lingerie elastic for the undies I am making. One can never have too much black or white thread, so I got some of that as well. The basting tape is wonderful stuff for holding layers of fabric together in places where pins or clips just are not enough. The sticky tape then dissolves with the first washing. (Tip: Be sure to get the washable kind. There is also a basting tape that is permanent--used more for utility items like the wheelchair harnesses I sew at my job or for sailmaking or other heavy-duty jobs.)
Now to get to work so I can give you all some photos of finished projects using these supplies.
UPDATE: The Dritz "wonder tape" proved to be useless. I could not even get it to stick on my fabric, nor peel off the backing. The non-washable tape I use at work on vinyl and other fabrics is great, but this Dritz stuff, while it might be washable, is not useful. Instead, I am using washable glue stick on washable fabrics when I need to hold something in place temporarily and don't want to use pins.
