I used some black batiste from my stash and a vintage Yve St. Laurent Vogue designer pattern to fashion a black blouse that will go with any skirt or pants in my winter wardrobe.
The neck ruffle gave me an opportunity to use my ruffler attachment on my newer Brother machine for the first time. It worked well. The sleeve ruffles are created by the elastic casings at the wrists. It makes a pretty "poet blouse" to dress up a pencil skirt. The lightweight fabric can go under a jacket comfortably, too.
This was the first time I had used the blouse from the pattern. I think I need to make another in white or ivory.
