As you might know from my previous posts I live in Torre-Pacheco in the Region of Murcia, Spain. We moved here last year in October and we love this place. It's part of the Mar Menor Golf Resort, but our place is just outside on the "boulevard". It just means this place is a lot cheaper 馃榿 The same apartments inside the golf resort are 3 times the price! The good thing is we can use most of the facilities of the golf resort, except some pools that are exclusive for the owners inside the resort. There are a 5* hotel, spa, gym, paddle courts, swimming pools, restaurants. Inside the resort there is also a little supermarket from the Spar chain. Normally I don't go there as they have high prices. I guess they can afford it to ask that kind of prices because the people living there have enough money and don't really care. But I'm just an Average Jane.
Anyway, last week I arrived here after a short break in Belgium and I needed some groceries. At that time I was still waiting for my car to get delivered so I had to walk to the shop. The others are too far to walk so I had no choice as going to the Spar for the most essential things like veggies and fruits. I waited till early evening to go out as it was very hot.
Every day people are working to maintain the entire area, cleaning, repairing, gardening. That's a good thing of living here. Everything is well maintained the whole year. Around Christmas you can see decorations and also Poinsettias around every palm tree.
I quickly did my shopping and put everything in my backpack. I didn't had frozen stuff with me so I could take an easy walk back, and meanwhile taking some pictures.
The buildings on the left are inside the resort, and the ones on the right are where I live. It's divided by one of the 18 hole golf course created by Jack Nicklaus Design. (No, I don't play golf). Sometimes you see people on the course, but at that time no one was at that spot.
It's a peaceful area and not many cars are driving here. But you better watch out for the carts when crossing the street!
I love to walk around here, it really calms me down and I enjoy the view.
It's not a long walk, but if you have time you can walk around for hours on the 150 hectare property.
