This may be the clearest claim Jesus ever made to be God in the flesh. When He said that He existed before Abraham was born, He undeniably proclaims His divinity. He also applied God's holy name "I AM"
… And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Exodus 3:14 KJV
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:8 KJV
His claim to deity demands a response.. It cannot be ignored. The Jewish leaders tried to stone Jesus for blasphemy because He claimed equality with God. But Jesus is God.
