"Sharing is caring", we often say in my household. It is a way of living for us. Me and my siblings were raised to always share and still now we sometimes do more than what is reasonable. That is, in our modern society doing something for nothing in return is sometimes suspect. People nowadays cannot imagine you doing something for them for nothing in return. But alas, we hope to make a difference in people's lives.
That said, I hope to think that this stretches to animals as well! In the last couple of weeks, I started throwing some seeds out for the birds. Mostly doves and pigeons come to eat the seeds, but this squirrel came to steal all the sunflower seeds! But sharing is caring and he/she posed so nicely for me to take some photographs! I share with you a couple of the close-up photographs I managed to take of him/her. Sometimes I harbor negative feelings towards them, they grow in the garden destroy seedlings, steal fruits and never leave anything for me. Alas, see how beautiful creatures they are from close-up! Everything in life is beautiful if you take the time to look. Without further ado, please enjoy this seed stealing squirrel!
See how adorable this close-up is of him/her eating the seed and holding it in its tiny paws. I often call them "tree rats" as they steal all the fruits and nuts from the trees (like avo's and peaches). But if you look here, how can you harbor such negative thoughts!
The fur coat is thick and beautiful, don't you think? We can only look with envy at them in their beauty.

I hope you enjoyed the close-up photographs of this rather beautiful but sometimes annoying little creature! Its antics and behavior are so unique and adorable. All of the photographs were taken with my Nikon D300 and my old zoom lens. I am feeling a little under the wind, I started giving practical philosophy classes on Friday, so all my philosophical reflections got diverted to the classroom. Maybe I will philosophize this week some more and post it here. It is funny how your brain just drains from all its thoughts when you need to talk and philosophize for hours on end. Luckily we get some remuneration for our thoughts, but the university does not pay well! It is sad because they lose brilliant minds due to this (i.e., lack of monetary compensation). But I like working with students and it is always nice to see their minds open up when you teach them new things (in philosophy). Sharing is caring, right? But sometimes you cannot philosophize with your empty stomach. Luckily I have a caring family! Stay safe, and happy photographing!
