Golf can be at times such a frustrating sport; yet it can be such a magical sport. Chasing my personal best of 71 on the home course, I was 1 under needing just another birdie. Overthinking it, I ended up making two double bogeys carding a 75. What could have been a 70…. In my home language we say: As is verbrande hout. Ash is burnt wood. “As” in Afrikaans can mean “if” or “ash”. If is like burnt wood, ash. You cannot think about it, it is done, burnt. Now you can only move forward.
I took some closeup images with my iPhone, maybe they are aesthetically pleasing. I also took some images of the nature on the course while I played. I also worked in the garden this morning. Modern technology makes it so easy to take aesthetically pleasing photographs. In part due to the point of focus, I love to snap some photographs that are out of focus besides the single point of focus.
It was a stunning day. The temperatures was surely high 30s (Celsius). The plants was so beautiful. It is such an honour to walk between nature’s beauty. Here is just some photographs of the plants:
Before the golf, I took the time to transplant some flowers, and to plant some flowers that needed to be planted. I thought about the phrase: plants for a better future. It sounds so nice. Then I thought: whose future? What plants? Where? Who will gain from this? What is at stake? And so on. There is a book with the title: It is a little more complicated, or something in that line. I then stopped and continued to plant.
