sixteen months
no time has left
we are mere
bodies floating in a bath
of our own waste
oh my dear
please let me
reminisce about
all the lost moments
of our past
intimate moments
fizz in the bath
of our cherished
memories
yet
the immediate
bleeds away as
the seconds tick by
bathe with me
my darling
and let us think
we are special
as the moments go by
we are not getting younger
and the ashes fall
from my face
and your smile becomes
a reminder
of the changing times
let us get drunk
on our breath
that reek of rosemary
and lemon grass
let us forget
about life that reminds
us of our getting older
and the changing times
which prompts about better
and easier moments
let us get drunk
on our breath
that reek of rosemary
My other half, @urban.scout, and I celebrated our 16 months together yesterday. Time flies when you enjoy it. It is scary on the one hand and inevitable on the other.
So I wrote a poem about our intimate moment together for you to read and to enjoy with us.
It is funny how the intimate and private have become so public. For so long I have argued against this, but you can only argue for so long before you kind of conform. Not in the sense of conforming for the sake of conforming, but because you can no longer struggle against the system. And again, it is not that the system has gotten you under but because you just need to carry on. Constantly fighting against the system can become tiring and sometimes you just want to be and experience life.
In any case, I hope you enjoyed my poem which was basically an intimate moment between me and @urban.scout.
Happy reading, and stay safe.
The photographs are my own, taken with my Nikon D300 and 18-70mm lens. The poem is also my own creation albeit inspired by me and @urban.scout's intimate moment.
P.S., here is a video of this bath bomb:
