The Webster's dictionary defines success as "the accomplishment of what is desired or aimed at." What you desire is different from what I desire. There are probably as many desires as there are people in the world. Can all these desires be good? Not likely.
The desire to marry is good but the desire to commit adultery or fornication is not good. And yet the achievement of any of these desires (according to the definition above) is classified as success. From this example it is clear that there is a good success and bad success
The Bible tells us in James 1:17 that "every good and perfect gift is from above, coming from the father of the heavenly lights, who doesn't change like shifting shadows". Clearly, bad success is not from Him, it can only be from the devil. Bad success is the result of an evil desire and evil desire can only come from a heart that is controlled by the devil. To achieve good success we must have godly desires. You cannot have godly desires if you do not know God; if you have not accepted His Son, Jesus, as your Lord and Savior
Is Jesus in you? If not invite Him into your life today.
