procedure in making chinchin

  • I mix the baking powder with the flour together though is optional is meant for it to be hard and also the flavor.

  • I added butter, milk, and egg with the flavors after I mix together until the dough is formed then knead the dough for about 2-4 minutes.

  • put some flour on a flat surface and transfer the dough to the dusted surface and I use flour also on the rolling pin. Then I rollout the dough till its thin and thickness is about 1/6 inch because it will double in size when it is fried.

  • The dough will be cut into long strips or any desired shape.

  • It should be turned over and over till all the chinchin are evenly brown. So that one side will not get burnt.
